Sexual Perversity in Chicago

The latest design of the Chicago Spire was released today and featured prominently in the newspapers. This is the fourth version of a highly anticipated and somewhat controversial project.

The first (above left) and second versions, which are very similar, feature and elegently twisted tower with a pinnacle. The third version (above center), which is stubbier and has lost the spire, looks something like an upended churro. The fourth version (above right) has tried to reach a middle ground, but honestly it looks like a certain "toy" that should be battery operated.
